These things roll around in my brain in my sleep (whenever I get any:)
- Put that ___________ [insert name of sporting equipment] away, this isn’t Madison Square Garden.
- Everybody be ready to leave as soon as the bell rings. I have to use the ladies’. Nobody writes me a pass to go during class.
- Be kind to one another.
- You do not have permission to be tardy.
- Remind me. You know I’ll forget.
- You’ll be dismissed when the bell rings if everyone is seated.
- Everyone has to wear an I.D. I wear one. You have to wear one. It’s not my rule, but I will enforce it.
- Sit up. Everyone has to sit up in class.
- You know you love my class.
- No, really. Sit up. I’m not picking on you; that’s the rule for everyone.
- Did you sign the tardy book?
- Don’t make me call you out for not having an I.D. It makes everybody grumpy.
- I know, I’m just so mean. Do it anyway, please.
- I don’t care if I’m the only teacher in the whole school to enforce [fill in any rule here.] That’s just how I roll.
- Of course we’re doing something today. Have we ever had a free day?
- I am not an ATM machine [wind up doll, toy soldier…] you can’t just push a button [pull my string, twist the key on my back…] when you feel like it and have me dispense information at your leisure. You have to listen when I speak.
- I know you’re tired. I’m tired too. This is America; we’re all tired. You’re never going to have more energy or fewer responsibilities than you do right now.
- If you do whatever you want whenever you feel like it, you’re going to have an unhappy life.
- I can only do one thing at a time.
- Yeah, I’m crazy. It’s okay to be crazy as long as you’re not dangerous.
What about you? Anything you say way too often?
