It would be unforgivably heinous of God to allow all the evil that goes on in this world — that he knew would go on if he gave us free will — unless the opposite choice was worse. I believe God is not unforgivably heinous, but inexplicably good.
This comes down to the central question of my life: Who do I say that he is?
He’s either the kind of guy who says this: “I’m going to send you into this world without warning and without your consent, kicking and screaming, naked and cold, and depending on the kindness of adults for your survival. Then, I’m going to give you about half a blink, which will seem like an eternity to you, to suffer horribly through the pain of life. Then, if you manage to have your sanity and your faith intact, you can go to heaven. Otherwise, burn forever!”
Or he’s not that kind of guy. I say not.
