If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Often a student will ask me a question in class and it’s such a good one that I get the attention of the whole class to answer it. Ken wasn’t sure about how to add his RSS feed to BlogRush, so I thought I’d answer him in a post since he can’t be the only one. (Okay, really I just posted this answer because I still don’t have that <a href> crap down very well and it’s a pain in the ass to make a link inside a comment when you barely know how.)
An RSS feed (or atom, same thing) is specialized URL that puts a little piece of code into a program called a news reader that tells that program to send your blog articles to the reader automatically, along with the articles the reader has subscribed to from other blogs, like a newspaper. There’s a specialized page that users can click on your blog that gives the user a specific URL to copy and paste into a feed reader. Google Reader (which you already have because you have a blogger blog) is the one I have found easiest to use. News aggregators (readers) make it easier for readers to read your blog because they don’t have to remember your address, etc. (Forgive me if you already knew this.)
You already have a feed URL, too. Since you have a blogger blog, it’ll be the little orange button that looks like
this (or similar) in the address bar of your Mozilla Firefox browser when you’re on your blog. Click on that orange button and the page it brings you to will have your feed URL in the address bar. Copy and paste that into the proper place on BlogRush. That’s it! Blogrush is just a little news aggretator that displays on the sides of blogs instead of a seperate program like Google Reader. (Except users choose their own feeds in a news reader.)
Ken, your RSS feed page is here.
If you’re using Internet Explorer, the button will be in the toolbar where your tabs are. Same procedure. Then, you should switch to Mozilla as soon as you’re done signing up for BlogRush.

Thanks for the post/help.
I have a widget! And now, I fee like a real man. Not many men would utter the words, “I have a widget” and celebrate their masculinity.
If anything, it would be their minisculinity.
So now it’s wait and see.
What’s more advantageous, Technorati or Blogrush?
And, is the goal of this to make money?
If so, why did anyone go into education in the first place?

Thanks, Laura!
Ken — I haven’t ignored your last comment. You tend to get me thinking. Still pondering that question.
