Taylor sincerely apologizes for the use of the word shit in the title of this post. She decided it was better than ass butter.
Spring Break is almost over.
When I come home for a break, it takes me days to deeply unwind. ~a little uptight?~ Yesterday was the first really good day, but today is tinged with going back to that place. This really pisses me off. At myself for letting shit get to me so much, and at THEM for piling on so much unnecessary shit. The thing is ~considering my baseline batshit level~ I’m doing okay.
But I really gotta learn to relax. Life would be so much better. I’m guessing good shit will start to happen in my life. ~a little at a time, mixed with the usual shit~ But I will enjoy all of it more.
I’m waiting for the Youtube video that will show me how to do that.

I am on Spring Break too. Shit happens! It is tough going to a place where kids may not be top priority. I love what I do, but as you know the political stuff keeps getting in the way. The past six months I have not been a classroom teacher and I feel like I am in the middle of it. For the last 19 years as an elementary teacher, I could always close my door to my room and it was my world that I protected from the outside stuff.
Stay focused on what is important and don’t compromise the kids.

You’ve expressed our longing for fulfillment in professional endeavors so eloquently that I am left bereft of speech.
Contemplate broader horizons and take solace in the infinite possibilities of a glorious future which surely lies just beyond your present difficulties.

I bet I’m going to start seeing “ass butter” as a term that lands people here.

I don’t see myself using ass butter. Shit is definitely more effective, efficient, and appropriate.

Let’s say ass butter a few more times on this page. Maybe I’ll get to google’s first page for the search term “ass butter”
But I guess I’d have to offer some substantive information and commentary about ass butter…. hmmm.

@diane: My grandfather used to always say “Better days are just around the corner.”

A friend of mine (Linda) suggested that I should visit this blog and take a look at the topic concerned. I absolutely agree with the stress and shit we’ve got to come along with at school. Crazy and irresponsible parents, misbehaved and truant students and workmates having a grudge against you for no reason, for fuck’s sake!, what’s shit going on! Is everybody out of their minds? We need a break and no more shit like the one you describe. I just look on the bright side and keep it going as teaching is my life! Cheer up, Taylor!

@pedro You’re dead on. Except I’m pretty cheery. Maybe because I like pointing out bullshit. Is that why my husband says I’m a drama queen?
