I am Taylor the Teacher. My box will show you that I love to help children learn. I’ve been in that box for five years, by the way, so I’m glad to be out of there!

My friend who helps me write this blog is a teacher, too. Huck Finn says about his friend Mark Twain, “He told the truth, mainly. There were things which he stretched, but mainly he told the truth. “ My friend wants me to speak for her, and I believe she’s telling the truth. So I’ll do it.

(She made me throw that Huck Finn thing in there!)

Sometimes it’s hard for me to write this blog with my fingers being stuck together the way they are. But every time I complain, she says she feels the same way. She claims her movements are just as limited as mine are between school politics, technological obstacles, and her own shortcomings. But I say, walk a mile in someone else’s joint-less legs!

We’re doing the best we can together and trying to tell the truth. Telling the truth about life as we see it seems worth doing. (Funny how we always seem to see it the same way!)

Sometimes we ramble off-topic, something my friend says is supposed to be taboo in the blogosphere. But since I really don’t understand this blogosphere thing, I’m going to try to keep her from allowing her web surfing and endless reading of blogging advice to push the direction of this blog. I spent too many years in that box to be told what I can and cannot write about now!

So we hope someone will benefit from it. In the meantime, we’re learning a lot.

I’d love to hear from you. I have my very own email box at taylor_the_teacher@inbox.com !

I’ve got to say this is one of the more unique ideas for blog presentation that I’ve seen, and I love this About page. Truly well done, Taylor (and your teacher friend too!).

And now I’ve got to say that yours is my very favorite comment/compliment I have received so far! Yay!

Hah. Well I’m hoping you’ve received quite a lot of comments or else that doesn’t mean very much. Heh. :)

I know a guy named Ken who’s considering leaving his wife, Barbie, for you.

It’s about time I got something over Barbie. That bitch has everything.

hellcat — I like it. I might adopt it as a screen name someday! When I get more ferocious!

I think Henry Higgins says it to Eliza D. in My Fair Lady.

Looking that up makes me want to see that movie again. I’m not sure I watched it all the first time.
